Statement of Purpose

CCL Chicago is a community of volunteers dedicated to effective, non-partisan climate action locally and nationally in four major focus areas: carbon fee & dividend, healthy forests, building electrification, and clean energy permitting. It’s our goal to offer at least one in-person event each month distributed across the city and its 8 congressional districts, and to have independent chapter teams supporting each major focus area. We aim to create a welcoming, fun, and empowering environment for people of all backgrounds to develop meaningful, lasting relationships around climate advocacy. Together, we can create the political will for a livable world.
